31/03/2025 - 04/04/2025
UManresa, the Manresa campus of the UVic-UCC, presents a Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) on the topic "Patient Safety through Clinical Simulation: Improving Quality of Care" under the framework of the Erasmus+ project.
This programme is aimed at Nursing students and combines physical mobility with virtual components, fostering inter-university and international collaboration.
The primary objective of this BIP is to help Nursing students learn about safe and effective clinical practices using clinical simulation as an educational tool. This programme aims to provide healthcare professionals with the necessary skills to navigate increasingly complex and dynamic healthcare environments.
The on-site part of the BIP will take place in the Manresa campus of the UVic-UCC, in our International Centre for Innovation in Simulation (CISARC). The CISARC specializes in advanced clinical simulation training for healthcare professionals. It provides state-of-the-art facilities and realistic scenarios to enhance practical skills, improve patient care, and support research in medical education and training.

The programme includes both theoretical and practical components:
Theoretical (online): Synchronous and asynchronous sessions covering an introduction to clinical safety and simulation.
Practical (on-site): 5 days at UManresa, Barcelona, where participants will put the theory to practice through clinical simulations at the International Centre for Innovation in Simulation (CISARC).
Evaluation will be conducted through online submissions and on-site activities, including participation in simulations and reflective practice. Components include:
The teaching staff will guide and mentor the assigned student groups, actively participating in both face-to-face and online sessions, and developing educational materials.
To take part in the BIP, please fill in the following application form:

Manresa is a city located in the Barcelona province of the Catalonia region, in northeastern Spain, with a population of approximately 78,000 people. It lies along the Cardener river and it is known for its historical and cultural significance. Some of its medieval landmarks, such as the Church of Santa Maria de La Seu and La Cova, are associated with Saint Ignatius of Loyola, who spent part of his life here. The city's traditional industries include metallurgy and the making of textiles, tires and glass. Manresa is also the capital of a historic winemaking region, producing wines under the DO Pla de Bages. Today Manresa serves as an important economic and commercial hub in central Catalonia.
